circusnext welcomes Bastien Dausse in residency

It is happening at De Rue De Cirque/RueWATT (Paris) from December 5 to 16, 2022!

circusnext had already welcomed Bastien Dausse (Barks company) last July, for performances of MOON – Cabinet de curiosité lunaire at the Sainte-Anne hospital (Paris). This time, we meet him again for a residency at our partners of the Coopérative De Rue De Cirque/RueWATT (Paris).

Bastien Dausse installs his cube at RueWATT

Bastien Dausse is working on his next creation, MIR. A “solitary adventure with no gravity“, intended for young audiences from 6 years old. The project depicts the daily life of an astronaut, alone in his space station.

For this first show for young audiences, I’m again looking to tell the story of gravity, to talk about a gesture that the body can obtain only by removing itself from gravity. This show questions the capacity of the human being to adapt, this resilience that allows us to continue to live, to exist despite the difficulties, the constraints and the trials.

The scenography is imagined around a cube turning on itself, representing a space station. A work around the accessibility of the show to the deaf or hard of hearing, blind or visually impaired spectators will be carried out in parallel of its creation.
